After Apple’s 15-watt wireless charging support and Xiaomi’s 80-watt wireless charger, Chinese tech giant Huawei is now ready to bring a wireless charging system.
Huawei has applied for a patent for a new technology for a ‘wireless charging system’ that is capable of a wide range of transmissions. Publication number CN112564295A relates to patented wireless charging technology.
This wireless charging technology requires two coils that will be placed opposite each other and the distance between the two will be very close to the transmission power.
With this patented wireless system, Huawei can increase the charging distance, which is especially suitable for wearable devices such as smart bracelets and watches. Huawei recently announced that it would receive royalties from mobile phone makers for using their patented 5G technology.
The company released a white paper on IP from its Shenzhen headquarters, stating that it has become the world’s largest patent holder through steady investment in innovation. By the end of 2020, Huawei had more than 100,000 active patents, according to the White Paper.
